10 years ago was a haven..for the creative, and a melting pot with almost everything imagineable in it. :) a wonderful place to live in...:)
This has changed. Seriously. Recruiters not employing people that 'might take their jobs'...(even if those applying, like me, have no interest whatsoever to do just that), or are 'better than me'..its disgusting. There is also a lot of xenophobia here now I haden't noticed before, when my English was MUCH worse, 10 years ago..
Anyhow, I WILL find a job, and I am not leaving this place. My band does not stand a chance in any European country (there is just no market for this kind of stuff), so today I contemplated taking on a part-time chambermaids job..which would pay for a room, mobile phone and insurance, and food- just about. I would still have to walk to work, but..that's ok, considering I would look for a room in the area.
This will be my last resort, but if its destiny, then, well..I am not a good waitress. and I won't apply for a job I know I am not good in.
