..the glamour and the gutter...Britain 10 years ago was the glamour, now its just..the gutter. There is so much xenophobia around, I am shocked. Also shocked by the filth, the ignorance (try asking anyone for the way..they'll ignore you..) and the outright stupidity I meet here daily.
There really ARE places that are worse than Austria..I am amazed. But what is worst is the lack of SOUL here..when I got in trouble last saturday, it wasn't the famous guy I hooked up with last week, it was my poor, soon-to-be video director, Slava, who eventually saved me. It's just never the affluent..as Patti Smith phrases it: Those who have suffered, understand suffering, and thereby extend their hand. Well said.
