some years ago, I had an idea for an "interactive tattoo". A week ago, I saw a tatoo artist and discussed it with him.
What I would like to have is a full back with a mock medieval star map..meaning one that shows the stars in front, and the sketches of the relevant animals and mythological creatures at the back..in a constellation that does not exist as such: including virgo (me), Raphael (pisces),libra (my ascendant and way of life), Leo (various people), scorpio (another milestone and friend of mine)..and so on.
The important thing here is that the way the stars would be drawn would have to be much like in classical astronomical drawings: the smaller ones as dots, the larger ones as circles. This is gonna cost btwn. 3000-6000 Euros, depending on whether Nicks Friend the rockstar tattooist or the British guy I went to will do it. Nick sees Tobias Hanke, the guy who tattooed all the major German rock- and rapstars. Well, I dont have any money, so..this is gonna take some time.
where is the interactive part? Well, the trick is..I'd only have my back tatooed, and on special occasions, I'd wear a dress with a low backline, so one would see the complete picture unfold. Now for these occasions, I would put svarowski stones (BLING) on the rings marking the bigger stars in a constellation..You can be DAMN sure..this is gonna attract some attention! ;)..and the whole thing suits me 1:1.
Astrology, my birth sign and my friends/lovers signs, the interactive novelty part (noone ever had that!)..the aesthetics of it, the star child image. I just continued work on "symmetrical perfection"- a song on Orions belt, the symmetry of the night sky and how it all falls into place when u're in love...;).
