..in every sense here. After researching grants in different countries for about half a year (and having applied for a couple of artistic grants here.. no Chance), I finally found a media grant that Sponsors one month of an internship within an Austrian tv channel or Radio. Only 2 Music Radios qualify.
I read the FAQs on the first Radios homepage: "We do not accept internships out of principle.. only full term journalists may apply."
AND THIS MIRRORS the Country perfectly.
The other one.. NO CHANCE. I am linked to a handfull of their finest staff.. and already tried 2 years ago.. with no success.
I feel like.. this is the SIXTH year of full time efort in trying to find SOME Kind of Job, stipend, internship or WHATEVER here.. with no results. (THAT, and constant hate here)
When I leave, at least, I will have EVERY reason to and EVERY DOCUMENTATION possible that this Country is the living, breathing antithesis to creativity and Innovation. No wonder one of our most famous artists talks about how he hates this planet recently and wouldnt mind dying.. and that guy is a STATE Artist (Staatskünstler), meaning: he has no financial worries anymore for the rest of his life.
He isnt the only one like that. In fact.. as I have regularily stated.. Austria has a history of artists pissing on it.. and they have EVERY reason to. And not just the artists.
