OTJE Project, Update 26th of December 2021

Since Vitruvian Vision is a grassroots project on a very limited budget, with limited staff and resources, shit is bound to happen.

We had planned to start our crowdfunding in December 2021, only to find out that kickstarter does not allow companies and NGOs from Estonia. Our initial research had shown that is possible.

And, yes- there ARE indeed Estonian companies on there, and don't get me to comment on the peculiarities of how they were allowed to fund on this particular platform.

I did my research- and let's say I found a lot of issues I wasn't happy with. Fake profiles, shady collars- all for the sake of running a project from elsewhere that is actually located in Estonia. 

So Goodbye, Kickstarter.

We then had to re-shoot the German and English videos, make them platform-neutral, and opt for indiegogo. Which has a great resources page and an awesome team- it is just not such a great place for artistic projects. 

We will also be on start next- the biggest German platform. 

Then a few team fluctuations, and people not showing up for their onboarding- and we are down to six team members for now. 

The flashmob dates had to be rescheduled, starting from Europe Day 2022 now (May) and running until May 2023. We decided in the team that this gives us plenty of time to organise and try things out. 

Once the new dates are fixed, we will put them online. 

Updates

Mr. B. only wants to be friends.. well. I for my part am tired of either men not being a match or being too scared of me. He wasn't too scared of me.. and if so, the scare was mutual. ;) 

Might not have ended well anyways.. for either side. But I learned a great deal from him. Mainly how to show my claws to people who still think they can be stupid and mess with me. 

In any case, I decided that maybe I should give up the struggle, and stay alone for once. Maybe it is destiny- and I have time to catch up on, and a kickstarter project (now targeting the 25th; Lara had urgent stuff to do so we're late with the video cut) to tend do.

I onboarded two more interns, and we're now complete for promotion/social/project management. A bit late, but if we stay open as for the locations and Covid rules, and can raise the money, it's all still open.

I have support from all subcultures that are dear to me, or resonate with me: Military, LGBTIQ+, Disability, Feminism, Domestic Violence, Empaths, and a few more. SO EXCITED.

The interview was my most deep and comprehensive so far. 

The plan was to have Arsenijs (=our electronics guy and technical co-founder) on board (and answer their questions together), but Latvia is in a sort of Lockdown, and me and my photographer Lara Pucko couldn't make it to Riga in time. 

So, once again dear reader, I am the one on the front, and in the trenches. ;)

We won't get to update the team page until in the third week of November, so please stay tuned.

We have a crowdfunding campaign me and Lara work on, and a massive to do list that has to be tackled.

Authority Magazine Feature

We have been featured in Authority Magazine, which is one of the most desired publications on the planet.

To exemplify: Forbes Magazine has a DA of 93 (Web Ranking), Authority Magazine a DA of 96.

To top this, I received compliments from two fine gentlemen I very highly respect and cherish that day.

One is the guy who runs the (Military) Leadership podcast I will be on soon, the other is the editor of AM. 

The Article will be syndicated, which means it will get distributed/shared with other sites, in any case with Thrive Global (another 10 Mio. readers), and if we get lucky, sites such as Entrepreneur.com, Buzzfeed (130 Mio. readers) etc.

The same day, Ogilvy Estonia declined my job application as PR Specialist, and I was mobbed at work by a Russian woman who told me on my first day: "You don't belong here. What do you do here?"

And the guy I am interested in doesn't respect or cherish me. At all.

CHANGES ARE NEEDED. 

New positive occurrences.

 When the dude with the Top 10% leadership podcast wanted to interview ME, I was like.. why?!!?

I thought I had something to say about being a young leader 12 years ago, but these days.. I don't think so.

But we will see. I have just spent another two days cleaning like crazy, and unpacking in the new place.

It is not as bad as I first thought- the rent is cheaper, flatmates are super nice, and there are good shops for food and cheap stuff around. AND- a mural! ;) I had asked the cosm to find me one I didn't already know in my area- and its 2 mns. from where I live.

We need it for a photoshoot. So I don't have to run around in the archetype suits in public, and we won't get stares or the like. It's my least favourite part of the job.

PR, for me, mostly serves to promote my project. It is NOT a deep desire of mine to expose/present myself, just like running around in those costumes isn't a fetish, or a hobby, or anything I especially enjoy doing. It is a JOB, and it serves a PURPOSE. Nothing more.

Yes, high level PR placements CAN be gratifying, but it satisfies my hunter instinct more than a notion of being in the "spotlight". It proves to me- again and again- that I am an excellent pitcher with something to say. Even more of an achievement given I am not a Native English speaker.
